Our training is written and run by people with learning disabilities who are paid the Real Living Wage.

Training for people with learning disabilities

We offer peer-led training on lots of useful topics.
Our sessions take place in groups, day services, and other places across Norfolk.

Some of the topics we cover include:

  • Let’s Talk About Money
  • All About Bowel Cancer Screening
  • Checking Your Breasts or Chest
  • All About Tenancies
  • Being Safe Online
  • What is Self-Advocacy?

We also run two monthly training groups in Norwich. These are spaces where people with learning disabilities learn how to write and deliver training together.

Easy Read & Accessible Information Training

We also run training on how to make information Easy Read.

We will show you how to:

  • Simplify language
  • Use clear pictures
  • Make your information more accessible to everyone

Training for people without learning disabilities

Our Expert By Lived Experience trainers create and deliver powerful training sessions to help people understand our lives, experiences, and strengths better.

We want to break down barriers so that services and support work better for everyone.

We offer training for:

  • Professionals and support workers
  • University students (we regularly work with UEA students on social work, speech and language therapy, and more)
  • Organisations looking to become more inclusive
